Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there!!! I love Thanksgiving! I'm so Thankful for so many, many things in my life. It would be impossible to list them all here. But I can tell you that the number one is my family...I feel so blessed to have a wonderful husband who spoils me, a perfect little girl, and the best parents, siblings and in-laws anyone could ask for!

Here are some photos of Mia from this month. My mom came out to Nebraska to help take care of Mia while I worked nights this month. Mia enjoyed getting SPOILED!!! Here is a picture of Mia and Grandma at the zoo. Mia loves the zoo and had fun showing Grandma around.

Yesterday, I was home with Mia during the day and I was trying to get some things done around the house when I heard her babbling to herself behind the couch and the drapes. When I went to check on her, she had her Tinker Bell doll that Grandma brought her and she was chatting to it as they both looked out the window and Mia was pointing things out to her. After they were done looking out the window, Mia placed her doll on a towel on the floor and covered her with a blanket. She patted her head then went and found one of her favorite books and layed down next to her doll and started reading her the story. Then she put the book down and gave Tinker Bell a kiss...like she was putting Tinker Bell to bed. I just had to snap a photo of it! After the photo, I told Mia that we had to take a bath and she grabbed Tinker Bell and took her to the bathtub to get her ready for a bath. It made me realize that I had better watch what I do around Mia because she is watching...
She just loves Tinker Bell (and other baby dolls). Brian said that when he was with Mia the other day, she and Tinker Bell were looking into a mirror together for a long time, just talking. My least favorite Tinker Bell experience was when Mia tried to tell Tinker Bell that she needed to go potty then took her to the toilet to sit. Sadly, Tinker Bell does not have a bum that fits the toilet well and Tinker Bell took a splash in the toilet. When I realized (heard) what was going on, Mia was fishing Tink out of the toilet and there was water everywhere. Needless to say, Tink got a Clorox bath that day! Here is another of Mia's favorite past times...as my friend Heather can attest to. Mia loves walking around the house with a blanket over her head. Then, when she crashes into something (like this railing) she laughs and laughs and laughs and then wants to do it all over again! (Please forgive my crafting mess in the corner and the vacuum cleaning on the side!)

Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone had a great Halloween! We sure did! I decided this year to make Mia's costume and here's how it turned out:She sure does make a cute chicken! Brian and I dressed as farmers with our little chick! She screamed and cried when I first put it on her and I panicked because I didn't want her crying all night after all the work I put into it, but then she soon warmed up to it and cried when I told her we had to take it off later that night. It was really funny because she quickly adapted to her chicken feet and when she walked, she walked just like a chicken!
Brian had a blast taking Mia trunk-or-treating and Mia caught on really fast. She did start giving away her candy to other kids towards then end, though. Once we got in the car, she wanted to hold her trick-or-treating bag on her lap and started sorting through her loot!
